Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. It is believed that she was the one responsible for initiating the modern study of the memory of witnesses and children as witnesses. Her publications are numerous and she has been awarded numerous grants and has been the recipient of numerous awards international and national levels. She has consulted with numerous governments and agencies throughout the world on policies as well as research on children as victims within the legal system. She currently serves as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of several professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice.
